In this capstone module, you will explore the relationship of existing and emerging processes and technologies to manufacturing strategy and supply chain-related functions. The course addresses three main topics: aligning resources with the strategic plan, configuring and integrating operating processes to support the strategic plan, and implementing change. For maximum comprehension of course content, you should be familiar with the information and concepts presented in other CPIM modules before taking this course. Course fee includes CPIM participant workbook.
Upon successful completion, you will:
- Be able to explain how resources can be aligned with strategic plans.
- Understand the different competitive advantages a firm can choose to pursue.
- Respect the importance of customer requirements in product design and development.
- Understand the strategic relationships among members of a supply chain.
- Understand manufacturing strategies and how a firm decides on what is applicable to their business.

- Be able to explain project implementation issues, including project planning and control and project implementation phases.
- Know typical problems that can occur during implementation projects.

- Combined with other studies and reading, be ready to challenged the Strategic Management of Resources APICS certification exam.
