Board of Directors of APICS Vancouver is comprised of dedicated volunteers elected by the general body of APICS Vancouver Educational Society.

James Cook, CPIM, CSCP President president@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	James Cook is an Operations and Materials Professional with over 30 years experience in all aspects of operations and materials management. He has specialized skills in ERP/MRP and materials management bringing substantial knowledge and success to these disciplines. James developed and delivered curriculum on the effective use of MRP, Inventory, Production and Purchasing Management. He is currently teaching at British Columbia Institute of Technology, School of Business and Operations Management.He formerly taught APICS CPIM and CSCP courses.
Yves Chartrand, CPIM Executive Vice President executivevp@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	Yves Chartrand is Supply Chain Manager at Con-Tech Systems Ltd. since February 2011. Prior employers included Honeywell, SUGOi, and Teldon. He has more than 15 years experience in Operations Management Project Management, Sales and Operations Planning, Resource Planning, Scheduling, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management and Warehouse Management. Yves joined the Board of APICS Vancouver in October of 2009. He is also member of Project Management Institute, and the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council.
Reza Bafandeh Secretary secretary@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	Reza Bafandeh is Purchasing Director of Nutrabolics Inc; one of Canada's leading sports nutrition organizations. His previous employer included BFI Canada Inc.and MTU Maintenance.Reza graduated from BCIT’s OPMAN and BBA program with Honours and currently enrolled in CPIM designation program. Reza joined the Board of APICS Vancouver in October 2012.
David Owen, CPIM Director of Membership membership@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	David Owen is a Manager with Deloitte’s Supply Chain Consulting Practice. He delivers projects from corporate strategy to supply chain operational optimization and has had the opportunity to work with clients across a wide range of industries. Prior to consulting he worked as a supply chain manager in manufacturing. David has held his CPIM since 2005. He joined the APICS Vancouver Chapter Board in 2011
Kendra Green Director of Programs programs@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	Kendra holds a Diploma in Operations Management from British Columbia Institute of Technology with honors. She has extensive experience in Inventory Management, Purchasing, Vendor Management, Warehousing and Process Improvement. Kendra has worked for companies Viceroy Homes Ltd; Canadian Pest Control Ltd; Cannon Hygiene Canada,Hansen Industrial Tool Supply and Creo Inc. She joined the Board of APICS Vancouver in March 2011.
Philip Patton, CA (SA),CPIM, CPF, CDDP Director of Education education@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	Philip qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Whinney in South Africa and moved to Canada in 1986 where he helped establish Syspro in North America. In 1998 he joined Manugistics (now part of the JDA Group) where as a Senior Business Consultant (Supply Chain) worked on projects with companies such as Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Del Monte, 20th Century Fox and others. He subsequently joined Sauder Industries in Vancouver where he held the position of CIO for more than 8 years. He is currently President of Aquilon Software Inc. a provider of ERP systems for small to medium size businesses.Philip brings not only his Accounting and Financial experience but has practical experience in Supply Chain Management, Project management, ERP implementations and custom software development.
James Laitinen Director of Marketign president@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	James Laitinen is a leading Canadian tax practitioner for the Scientific Research & Experimental Development Program, with a seminar series that he directs, awards for innovation that he gives out, and volunteer efforts that support the Certified Management Accountants: Vancouver Chapter and APICS: The Association for Operations Management.
Melanie Wilk Director of Networking and Career Advancement (604) 639-4444	Melanie Wilk specializes in placing Supply Chain and Operations Management professionals in the Vancouver area for The David Aplin Group. She has over 11 years of recruitment experience and has placed supply chain professionals and operations managers for a variety of industries and organizations. She joined the Board of APICS Vancouver in October 2012.
Moin Qureshi, CSCP Director of Communications communications@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	Moin holds a Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from University of Southern California . He is currently Senior Manufacturing Manager at Stemcell Technologies Inc. Moin has over 20 years senior leadership experience of setting up and managing supply chains and high tech factories in Asia, Europe and North America. He previously worked for Procter & Gamble, The Gillette Company, Warner Lambert, Unilever and 3M Company. He joined the Board of APICS Vancouver in July 2012.
Sean Hepple Student Liason students@apics-vancouver.org (604) 639-4444	Sean Hepple, a Waste Management Sustainability Consultant for Western Canada, joined Waste Management of Canada’s Sustainability Services (“WMSS”) in 2011. Sean is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Operations Management program and holds a BHK from the University of British Columbia. In his role with WMSS, Sean conducts assessments and implements waste reduction plans for large food and retail chains, manufacturing facilities, and commercial properties throughout Western Canada. Sean assists Waste Management customers in developing and implementing education & recycling programs at their facilities. Sean is also a an executive member of the Vancouver Board of Trade’s (VBoT) Company of Young Professionals, a member of the VBoT’s Sustainability Committee, and on the Program Advisory Committee for BCIT’s Business Operations Management program.
Frank Liang CPIM,CSCP Member of Board	Frank holds Master's degree in Management of Information Resources. He has more than 18 years experience in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Operation, Purchasing and Sourcing for international enterprises. Currently he is a senior consultant and partner of UNI-SMART CONSULTING. LTD in Shanghai China. Frank joined the Board of APICS Vancouver in Oct 2012
Helen Shi Member of Board helenshicanada@gmail.com 778-986-9288	Helen has more than 16 years broad experience in dry bulk shipping, foreign trade, supply chain management, project management, research, coal and freight trading, business planning, business and team development. She brings expertise in Asia-Pacific, Europe, North and South America coal and shipping markets. Helen has worked in China National Coal Group Corp. and Louis Dreyfus Commodities, a top 4 soft commodities company worldwide. Helen joined the Board of APICS Vancouver in Oct 2012
